Can I listen to in-game sound with the mic? Is this possible?

Hi I am new to XBOX and I was wondering can I listen to in-game audio on my MIC? I play xbox after work (nights) and I have 2 babies in the house and I can't really put the volume up because I will wake the babies up

Is this possible? I use this monitor https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00U2ZZX5A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I have this MIC Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset - Black | eBay

Can I use Bose AE2i headphones as a headset/microphone?

yo dude, i have the bose AE2i, and i want to game with them, but the sound is super bad, when i listen to music through my ipod tho the sound is really good, but i cant game with them for some reason, can you play xbox with them?

Yes, but the default Xbox headset doesn't do that.

You need a headset like TurtleBeaches or Astro's for that feature.

I simply can't hear myself when I am gaming, if I am sat at the dashboard and put the mic near my mouth an listen I can hear myself but only just on max volume, when I play a game the mic volume doesn't adjust for the game sound so I can't hear myself, hence
no mic monitoring (and an unhappy happy family trying to sleep)

Well with your 82" TV ! Really. Anyway, I am guessing you have 7.1 surround sound, the kinect will, with a its four mic array detect background sounds and pick your voice out from the sourround sound. A separate mic can't do this. I am also guessing the
array can detect sound direction and with the camera know your the one to listen to not your kids. With the kinect being detached from the unit you can move it closer.

All Xbox One consoles will come with a mic and Kinect sensor, be happy.

I use turtlebeach headsets, one of them is an XC1 which is similar to the basic mic which came with my slim 360 console and even the XC1 is better than the basic mic which came with my console and still had to listen to game sound from TV. My other turtlebeach
headset is a Dolby surround sound wireless game sound/chat model and is awesome.

This means, the Kinect sensor shouldn't pick up background noise, including game sound coming through your HDTV's speakers; as bad as the 360's Kinect, which makes it still acceptable to use as a mic substitute.
