can I limit downloads on Xbox?

So, I have Xfinity internet and unfortunately, we have a 1TB data cap each month. We have a family of 4 in the house & for the most part we don't go over this cap. Between gaming (Xbox & PS4), Media streaming and general internet usage, we usually average
around 600-700GB/month.

I also recently subscribed to Xbox game pass. me & my son (12yrs old) has been enjoying it, but I see that it requires downloading each game independently . As a result, this has torn into our 1TB cap much faster this month. We are currently at about 900GB
with 3 days left in the month. I informed him not to download any more games until June 1st. He agreed and I have also lowered our family's Netflix quality as well so I should be OK for this month.

Moving forward, is there possibly any way of restricting the amount of downloads the Xbox does each month? I know you can disable game updates and we have always had this disabled, but still looking for some sort of other way to control downloads.

I just reached out to an Xfinity agent and there is not a 2TB/month plan available for my account. Its either my current 1TB or an unlimited data plan option for an extra $50/month. Oh well. Its also the standard $10 extra for each 50GB over 1TB

I'd like to know this as well. Of course Xfinity set a data cap less than 6 months after I cut the cable cord 😑 1tb goes pretty quick with a family streaming everything and game downloads exceeding 50gb.

Not much you can do but not let it update automatically and don't download a lot of games with Game Pass. What I did was increase my limit to 2TB and I don't come close to that now so I don't constantly have to monitor it. With so many using it for so
many different things you will just have to monitor it closely.

2TB limit? Is this an option with Comcast./Xfinity? If so, I didn't know this existed. How much extra per month is this level of data?
