Can I install Minecraft on two devices with two accounts?

I bought Minecraft Java/Bedrock from the Microsoft store.

One of my children is playing it on their laptop using their Microsoft and Minecraft account.

Can my second child play it on their (different) laptop using their (different) Microsoft and Minecraft account?

Or do I have to buy it again?

The license of the game is on the Microsoft account itself. You need to buy the game again for your second child.

As Echo has said, Minecraft is not Play Anywhere therefore you will have to purchase it again, however, it is cross-platform.

Minecraft is not a part of the "Xbox Play Anywhere" set of games, so you would need to purchase it separately for Windows 10.

There are multiple versions of Minecraft, Xbox, Win 10 and Android Pocket Version. None of them are play anywhere titles.
