    a few years ago i bought minecraft java edition (which at the time was called minecraft). it has been like 3 to 5 years since i bought it. today i saw that if you bought minecraft java you can get windows 10 too. so since i bought it can i get windows 10
    edition? and how would i do it? also, i tried signing in to my account that i bought my minecraft java on and it’s wont even sign in.

    How do i get Minecraft Java with the Windows 10 Edition?

    So I bought Minecraft Windows 10 edition and I read that if you had Minecraft Java edition you could get the Windows 10 edition. I am just wondering if there is any way to get Minecraft Java edition with the Windows 10 edition. Thanks!

    Yes, If you own the Java edition of Minecraft you should be eligible to download Minecraft Windows 10 edition for free. You can see instructions on how to do so here http://support.xbox.com/en-CA/games/game-titles/minecraft-windows-10-edition-faq

    If you have Java Minecraft, sign in with your Mojang Account on the Minecraft Website, and you should get an offer to redeem a code for the Windows 10 Version.

    However, it was long ago since I did that, and don't know where exactly you need to go.

    After you got your code, you can go to the Windows Store App on your Windows 10 PC and redeem that code in the Store App to get Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.

    EDIT: It seems that you need to have purchased the Java Edition before Oct. 19th 2018 to be eligible for getting Minecraft Windows 10 for free.
