    Can I get original xbox games to work on newer consoles such as "Toejam & Earl", Burnout 3...


    I'd like to play some original games that I had alot of fun playing and now I'd like to play them with my daughter but can't get them to work. Couple that I really want to play are Toejam and Earl, Burnout 3 Takedown, and Burnout Revenge. Anyone know how I can get them to work?

    Thanks. I haven't been able to find the Toejam & Earl game I am looking for. Toejam & Earl 3- Mission to Earth. Is there some sort of application to get a game backwards compatible? Surely with a game that already exists and today's technology, they could just get it to work? They have other games from the original xbox in the market place.

    The backwards compatibility program finished quite a while ago so no more games will be added.

    The majority of games that weren't added couldn't be due to technical or licensing issues.

    You can only play Xbox Original and Xbox 360 games on newer consoles like Xbox One or Xbox Series if the games are part of the backward compatibility catalog, which can be viewed at the following link:

    https://www.xbox.com/games/backward-compatibility

    Of the games you mentioned, it appears that only SVC: ToeJam & Earl from Xbox 360 and Burnout Revenge, also from Xbox 360, are backward compatible. For them to work, they must be games from that console model, as the Xbox Original games will not work.
