    Can I get Microsoft to repair or replace my power brick for my stock xbox one?


    I have been having issues with my xbox one's brick and I really have been trying to see what I can do to allievate the issue but it still shows a gold light and I know there's a hardware fix I can do for it that involves replacing the capacitors of it
    but I cannot preform it myself as I don't have the tools or know-how to do it myself and I need some sort of help in order to get a new or repaired brick.

    Hi There.

    Many retail stores has replacement power bricks available for the Xbox One. I recommend going online to find one, since MS no longer supplies those. Usually i get them from amazon.

    I bought a US Xbox One due to lack of stock over here in the UK and I phoned up UK support and asked if I could get a UK power brick replacement and they just took my details and sent me one for free as it comes under repair and replacement. I was well chuffed
    when I found this out, brilliant customer service on Microsofts part.

    You want to order the AC cord, or the whole power supply including the power brick?



    A PC power cord should work as an AC cord replacement. I've used one before on the more modern supplies that do not have a center notch in the power receptical (non-203w power supplies.



    The whole power brick can be ordered from Microsoft on myservice.xbox.com. Start a repair and one of the options is to buy a replacement power brick. They're about $30.

    Update bricked my Xbox One!

    I had the same issue. Legit paid $120 to get it "repaired" only to find out the issue was with my power brick. Now, I'm out $120 and have to spend $50 to get a new power brick. Microsoft tech support wouldn't refund me for an unnecessary repair and would
    not allow me to swap the power brick out in store. Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed considering that I bought 2 Xbox One X's and can't even get this Xbox One "repair" refunded.
