Can i get banned for saying ****?

Is saying the word **** enough to get me banned on Xbox? I only ask because i was supposedly just reported for saying it.

I would say its pretty hard. I had someone spamming URLs to my gamertag, and that person is still running around doing it. Very annoying!

 

Yes. Profanity is against the code of conduct of XBOX

 

If you do ANYTHING that violates the code of conduct which can be read here https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/home/codeofconduct and that conduct gets reported to the enforcement team and when they investigate the report they determine that it was a violation
of the code of conduct then yes your account would be subject to an enforcement action.

Now I am assuming that since the forums starred out the word automatically that it would be a word that would get you suspended because part of the code of conduct is that you can not use profanity.

 

It does also depend on the game you are playing a little bit

 

Well i was playing Friday the 13th which does have some Profanity in it.

 

Actually the game you're playing doesn't matter as game ratings are only for the game itself and everything else on Live is to remain E for everyone.

 

Well i've reported people for being incredibly racist in game chat and Xbox never did anything about it. So if they take action against me for what i said i think that would be a big flaw in their system.
