Can I get an appeal after getting banned from someone else on my account?

I was recently banned for 1 full year on Xbox. This happened because a long time friend who lives overseas (Who had acces to my account) logged into my account and sent countless messages back to his own account involving horrible topics that would get me banned.

He then logged into his account and reported them. He also did many other things to my account, (signed up for subscritions, spent ingame currency, changed username and profile picture etc..) but i have fixed them since.

Anyway I applied for an appeal and it was denied, saying "I was responsible for my account no matter who was typing the messages." I understand that I do hold partial responsibility for this issue, but the person who logged in without authorisation only sent these messages to himself and no-one else was threated or involved. I think it's unfair that the suspention is continued on my account.

I have since cut all contact with him and obviously changed my password.

I suppose this is a life lesson learnt about giving your details to others, no matter how well you think you know them.

I would also love to hear from a staff member to see their opinion of that matter.

I am the mother involved in this dispute. My son Sam has stupidly given his password to his Xbox account.

Players he has “being with” over many years, have turned against him over some dispute. They have used his account to send racial, indecent and harmful words and then report him.

I am so fed up with Xbox entirely and think it is a horrible device however as this is all connected to my name and under my email I would like to address this situation legally.

How do I get in contact with Xbox legal team. I have my lawyers on standby after seeing them this morning about what to do about this situation.

no just giving someone access to your account is grounds for being banned then someone in another region accessing your account bypassing restrictions is a grounds for being banned

What they said was correct and if the appeal was denied, then there is no other recourse you'll have to wait the year.

i just said my appeal was denied as i didnt even know what i was banned for as i didnt receive an email regarding the ban which is why i had to use the bbb to get in contact and was then told what my ban was for after i had appealed and was denied. it is a joke. after being banned for someone bot following my account which is out of my control and theres nothing i can do once my appeal was denied because i didnt even know what i was banned for until now.

Submitting an appeal would be the only way to possibly fix it. If the enforcement team denied the appeal, there is nothing else that can be done.

Can y'all please unbanned me my friend had my account in his Xbox and text him stuff that would get me ban pls unbanned me

No one here in these forums can do that.

However allowing someone else to use your account is a bannable offense by itself.

I had the same problem getting banned for no reason, I hadn’t had a single ban after the strike system was implemented until now, only problem is I appealed and they instantly denied, still with no reason, now I cannot play online for 14 days or join parties or message, I hadn’t done anything recently at the time done anything to get banned like that, anything else I can do after getting my appeal denied?
