Can I get a refund on the wrong Minecraft Legends code version?

I wanted to purchase Minecraft Legends on my PC assuming that Xbox and Microsoft are connected. From this, I was hoping that it would allow me to install on my Minecraft Launcher, but it didn't work. Instead, after trying to find out for about 30 minutes, it says that I need an Xbox Console just to download it. I am a bit frustrated on wasting 40$ on a game I cannot play. The way Microsoft works gets on my nerves and it will only get more annoying if I can't get a refund. I'm already expecting not to get one. I'm going to avoid buying any Xbox or Microsoft bs if I cannot get a refund. This is just irritating.
