Can i get a refund because my friend used my gift card?

I understand you have a question about gift cards.

Actually, your friend cannot request a refund for the purchase because the money was coming from your account and the refund request can only be done on there.

And yes, they can redeem it to another account as long as the code has not been redeemed yet, anyone can redeem it.

So if you are planning to give a gift card to your friend and have them refund it to get the amount, that cannot happen unfortunately since you are the only one that can request that to your account and the refund will go back to the same card that you used.

I've did read on the Microsoft site it is in some cases possible to get a refund on a gift card. I would be helped immensely if it was possible to remove my balance and get that back on a digital gift card, I know a friend of mine could make better use of the card, at least it won't go to waste that way. There is no way to reach out to support to ask this, which to me is just insane.

Best way is to give it to another friend because 99% of the time you cant get gift card refunded so the best way is to give the code to one of your other friends

The refund was accepted, but, I didn't get my Xbox gift card code back, I was wondering If I am able to get my 25 pounds gift card code back.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Forums, You refund can take unto 7 - 10 working days but could take longer because of the holiday ,

But you can possibility not receive it because it depending on the eligibility
