    I want to get the LG 24GQ50F-B Ultragear monitor for my xbox series s and i wamt to know if i can get 120fps and 1080p at the same time with the normal cable that u get from the xbox series s

    No, it likely won't, so make sure you can return it

    this is a $100 monitor intended for basic office work. It achieves its alleged frame rate using computer assist. The HDMi timings in the manual are not exact multiples of 60 and will likely have timing issues

    Real 120hz displays start closer to $500

    Hi Costin. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

    It should work as long as the monitor can support 120Hz (just because it supports 165Hz doesn't mean 120Hz will work), and it can provide that signal over HDMI (some monitors only provide high refresh rate over display port).

    I'd recommend reaching out to LG about this as there doesn't seem to be any information online for this monitor.

    I am wondering if a asus tuf VG249Q1R can handle a 2.1 hdmi cable to run at 120fps at 1080 on Xbox series x or would I need to buy a certain cable for tye monitor to work at 120fps?

    No I have the ultra high speed cable but would the monitor support that and run on 120fps?
