    Can I fix Sea of Thieves Lavenderbeard?


    So a while ago I started getting the Lavenderbeard error whenever I tried signing into xbox. I tried every solution I could find, both on the sea of thieves support website and other forums (allowing it through my firewall, clearing the right xbl tickets, and nothing has worked.

    A while ago I tried making a support request on the SoT site, but they basically just told me they couldn't help and to come ask here instead. So I'm finally getting around to it because it's been like half a year and I just want to play the silly pirate game

    I play on Steam on Windows

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues logging in to Sea of thieves due to Lavenderbeard error.

    There are several reasons that this can appear:

    1. The servers are down for maintenance

    2. The client version of the game has become out of sync with the server - caused by a newer game version being deployed

    Please use the Microsoft Gaming Repair Tool for Xbox App, this tool detects and automatically repairs error found on your system. Please download and install it using this link then run it as administrator.

    If running the tool did not work on your situation, delete all Xbox and Microsoft from your credentials manager. There is a high possibility that your previous credentials are saved in your cache and being used automatically.

    Credential Manager lets you view and delete your saved credentials for signing in to websites, connected applications, and networks.

    Click on Start > Search for Credential manager > Windows credentials. Search for Xbl|DeviceKey, click on it and then Remove. Also, remove all the XblGrts and XboxLive credentials.
