    Can I extend a child account's screen time before it expires?


    I wanted to give my kids some extra screen time today. Normally, when their time is about to run out, there is a pop-up message that allows me to extend their time (temporarily, for just the current session, without changing or removing the normal limits).
    But I wanted to extend their time well in advance of the expiration. I couldn't find anything in the Xbox's settings, their profiles, or even on the account.microsoft.com/family web page that would let me grant them an extra couple hours just for today. (I
    could have changed the limit on the website, but then I would've had to remember to change it back later. Possible, but inconvenient.)

    On the 360, it was as simple as going to the Guide, selecting Family Timer, and extending it right there (though that was a global system timer and not a per-account timer). Is there such a function on the One that I'm just missing?

    Can't change privacy settings/use other features

    You can remove a child by either promoting it (over 17) from the child account's Account Management, or by removing the parent/child relationship entirely from the parent account.

    Child not showing up in Manage Permissions For Children

    I an trying to change child account's date of birth as I made a mistake in the year. However when I click on Manage Permissions For Children the child account not show up. It is a microsoft account linked to xbox. These problems only started when I bought
    the xbox. Before, there were no problems with age verification or a need for a parental account.

    We won't know until later, but if you call MS you may be able to extend the warranty on an Xbox One a second time. For the 360 it's possible as long as the extended warranty hasn't expired.

    This time around it shouldn't be necessary.

    Again, as has been said before. Your child's account has been banned. There's no point in continuing to post on these forums about the issue because no one here can help you. You're just going to have to wait until the family gold expires and next time
    don't put a child as the main account.

    Does your child have any access to your account? is your account on that console? They can log in to your account and extend the time allotted without changing the schedule.
