Can I download Minecraft on my macbook after I already purchased it for my Xbox one?

You could only if it were a windows pc and the game were play anywhere

You would have to purchase the PC version in order to play it on the PC (or mac).

I was already in sleep mode but I still tried restarting my xbox and see if anything changes but still nothing. I do however have a macbook that I can connect my seagate into.
