can I download backward compatible 360 games to my xbox one

I use to have a 360 account years ago

I found some backward compatible downloadable games on the marketplace.

I hit "buy" and they said I purchased them but that my download que was full.

I don't know how to empty the 360 que - I no longer own the 360 - I now have a xbox one

Help

Backward Compatibility

Every month I download 2 free games on Gold to my Xbox one, but, i cannot download the 360 games from Gold into my Xbox one for backward compatibility. How do i activate my Xbox One to start playing backward compatible 360 games.

problems downloading a profile for backward compatibility

nearly a month ago had this problem, I wanted to download my profile for backwards compatible Xbox 360 games and I can not, I have no profile to play backward compatible games, and less play online please help !!!!

Hi, make sure your xbox one has the latest update, then log in with the same xbox 360 account you had on the xbox 360, and your games should show up in the ready to install section in my games and app. Select which games you want to install and start downloading
them. Once they have finished you will then be able to play them. If you have any backward compatible games on disc, then just insert the disc, scroll down to install disc, and start the install.

Hey Heidibeth!

If you already own the games that are backwards compatible on Xbox One, go ahead and check your 'Ready to install' list in 'My games & apps' on your Xbox One console. As long as the games you are wanting to play have been added to work on Xbox One with backwards
compatibility, you should see the games on your ready to install list.

Xbox 360 games can only be downloaded on either a 360 or, if they are backwards compatible, on an Xbox One.

Xbox 360 game codes do not work on PC.

You can of course redeem codes for consoles using a PC web browser (or a browser on any device for that matter), but the game will only be downloadable on a compatible Xbox console.

This is not true the Xbox One can play quite a few Xbox 360 games through backwards compatibility. Please note the console needs to be online to allow it to download the backwards compatible version of the game.

1. Xbox 360 game discs can be used in Xbox One however the console needs to be online as it must download the backwards compatible version of the game. Please note the game disc is still required after downloading the game unless the game was purchased through
the marketplace.

2. With backwards compatibility Xbox One will run and Xbox 360 game along with an additional piece of software that (Emulates) the Xbox 360 on the Xbox One

3. Providing the Xbox 360 games you are wishing to play can also be played on Xbox One via backwards compatibility then there is no need for both consoles

The company that made the six total Skylanders games first released "Spyro's Adventure" and "Giants" for just the Xbox 360 only. All the newer Skylanders games after that have been released on the Xbox One. What I was saying in my last post is that Spyro
and Giants can only be played on an Xbox 360 console at this time, since Microsoft has not yet worked on backward compatibility for those two games.
