Can I delete an Xbox profile to free up my email? Years without solution please help.

An Xbox Account is a Microsoft Account, really, so thinking about it that way can lead to some fallacies. You can't delete an Xbox Profile any more than you could have just an Xbox Profile and not a Microsoft Account. The best page you're going to find

how to change the email address of your Microsoft Account. Before you follow that process, I'd recommend reading through the entire process and what that might mean for your accounts, as some things like subscriptions won't carry over to another Microsoft
Account if you add that email over as an alias before promoting as the primary email.

You'd want to take the email you want and make it the primary email on the Microsoft Account that has the profile you care to use.

Since the email with the unwanted Xbox account is a Microsoft Email, it's a bit complicated, and you would require at least an email program that is able to use IMAP folders to back up your mail.

Make a backup email address, and connect both your Microsoft Account email and the newly made backup address with your email program (for example Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird).

Move your emails from your old Microsoft Account to the new backup account.

If necessary, also backup your OneDrive and other Microsoft Services you use on the old account.

When you have everything safely backed up, close your old Microsoft Account.

It might be that the account address is blocked for a certain amount of time. Create your email again as an alias to your existing Xbox Account.

Connect that to your E-Mail program, and move your mails back to the newly made account.

After that is done, set your newly made alias as your primary sign in alias.

Their is no way to move an Xbox profile from one account to another.

You can change what email is used to sign your account in with.

Now keep in mind that if the email that you are wanting to keep is already a MS server email (Hotmail.com, Outlook.com, live.com msn.com) then this would not work. Now if all you really are worried about is getting emails from Microsoft about your account
you can set a different email as your billing email from the email you use to sign into your account with.

If you sign into your account at account.microsoft.com and go to the payment and billing menu at the top and click on that it will drop a menu down with a choice for address book.

On the next page it will show your billing addresses that would need to match up with your payment options billing addresses on the left on the right would be shipping addresses if you purchase a physical item from Micrsoft where they would ship it to, and
in the middle would be the email address this is where they would send out billing information to the email address that is there.

There should be a link right under the current email address that says edit this will allow you to edit the current email address used for billing purposes.
