Can I Decrease the size of my Developer Mode SSD? Xbox Series S?

Hi, I have an Xbox Series S. I paid for Developer Mode. Excellent. My Dev Mode SSD is too large. Can I decrease the space? I'm currently at 200GB and I want 150GB. I found a Video on how to Increase. Nothing on Decreasing. I can hit "Options" and "Manage Storage." But I can't decrease. The size of Dev Mode. I think I can Increase another 38.5 GB. So, can I Decrease the size of Dev Mode? SSD? Without Losing Data? Please reply. Thanks

    :)

A full factory reset might be the only way to achieve this.

Why is gameplay recording so poor on XBOX

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hellp Heeeydevon, as you are on Xbox S Series unfortunately it and limited by the size of the SSD, however you can buy an external disk and use it only for media captures, it does not need to be an SSD, just be an external HD USB 3.0 and put it configured for your captures and you will get more recording time according to the size of the HD.

    Xbox series s/x storage

You can still use external HDD for your Xbox/Xbox 360/Xbox One games but you can't play Series X/S games from them,

Series X/S games can only be played from the internal or external storage card,

with game file size's getting bigger, that 1Tb internal NVMe SSD is going fill up quick.

When will we be able to play xbox series X/S games from a external drive?

It would just like to add that Series X|S games are developed to only use faster storage. Not only is this storage totally different to a mechanical hard drive, the way games are loaded is also different. In addition, the Xbox Series X|S hardware can leverage additional resources to load to games from internal SSD or external SSD's even faster, what Microsoft calls its Xbox 'Velocity Architecture'.

As previously stated, you're never going to be able load your Xbox Series X games from an external hard drive. They're just too slow.
