Can I copy music from Cloud?

Can I copy music from cloud storage to my 360 hard drive, that I saved to it (cloud storage) from my laptop? My 360 wont read the cd's that I have so I saved the music to cloud storage using my laptop and want to listen it using my 360.

I never knew you could copy music from devices, I thought you could only copy from CDs

Xbox 360

You can't copy music from iPhone/iPad but if you go to the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and search for AirMusic that will let you play the music from the device through your Xbox.

The long way would be to copy your music to a PC, burn it to disc as an audio disc then use your 360 to rip the tracks off the CD again so you can have it on your console.

OR

Copy the music to a USB drive and play the music from there.

Hi there,

what cloud storage did you store it on, if it's One drive you might be able to access it, any other cloud storage device will most likely not work.

Otherwise I would advise using a usb thumb drive to try and transfer the music to your 360 console storage.

Xbox music pass will only sync the music it can match to its own marketplace. if you want unrecognized ripped music you must manually transfer or copy the music to the devices. hopefully MS will eventually upload unrecognized tracks to the cloud and auto
sync. until then, it's a HUGE hassle to copy that content to all devices.

Ok, so in the explorer view, you can open the phone and navigate to the music and you can copy the items out. So much for the new "cloud sync".

Thanks for your interest. On the Win8 machine I have the following set;

Music in the cloud - both set to on : Want music on this machine to be matched and available to other devices

Download - On and off : Would like to have music added to collection from other devices downloaded on this machine, but setting second option to 'on' causes the duplicates.

FYI on the Surface tab:

Music in the cloud: On and off : Shows music matched music for when main PC is switched off/unavailable, but does not match music from this device to the cloud, since it can also reference the share in the main win8 machine.

Downloads: both set to off. This device should just use music from the cloud or from the share.

Why is this? I can play my music in the default music player on the xbox, streaming it from my pc? It isnt really a cloud based service. Im not using the cloud in anyway, the music is just coming from my pc to the xbox via my home network, it doesnt use
microsofts cloud at all. So theres no reason why you should be charging to just play my own music.
