i want buy xboxone and i am only able to connect xbox one in my pc monitor and i know xbox one have hdmi input option for tv byt i want to know can i use pc hdmi output on xbox one and switch to pc or xbox same like games and tv

HDMI No signal Help!

Before connecting the console to your PC screen, you should set the Xbox 360 settings to output HDMI. You need to connect the 360 by composite cable on a normal screen, then set the output to HDMI. After this you can connect the console to your PC screen

Xbox 360 Slim - HDMI video & Component video.. can it work?

Hi there,

Currently have a 24" monitor (Asus K242HL) and my xbox 360 slim.

The monitor does not have any sound output, so the typical hdmi connection to my xbox only provides clear video...

After searching it up and finding numerous threats about connecting both a hdmi and component cable, i went along with it..

Scenario:

When the hdmi is connected as normal, video works. As soon as i plug the component cable in also, to output sound onto my speaker, the monitor loses signal and the xbox just starts an iterative loop of restarting.

So im unable to achieve sound & have video .. with the component cable connected to the xbox and no hdmi, the sound output does infact work on my speaker.

How am i able to have the two cables function side by side, are there any settings i have to tweak within the xbox 360 to get this to function?

anything with an HDMI out can be used with the pass through... just note that your XBox will need to be on and running for you to use your PC..

also know that there is a very slight delay with the pass through.. so gaming might be somewhat difficult...

your best bet is to get a powered HDMI 1 to 2 way switch connected to your monitor and toggle between XB and PC

After some research, I will explain how to do it.

You can connect your Xbox One S to your PC using the HDMI (IN) output, this is not possible on a laptop because it only has an HDMI (OUT) output.

You can't. You can connect Xbox 360's to monitors that have HDMI inputs, but you can't connect them to the PC directly as PC HDMI connectors are outputs only. The same is true for Laptop HDMI inputs.

If you have a PC monitor you're in luck. Otherwise it's going to be TV only.

If your PC is one of those all-in-one PCs with the computer located inside of the monitor case then this won't be possible either.

This is an "All-In-One" (AIO) PC. That means, that this is not just a monitor, but this is a complete PC inside the monitor. And according to the user manual, the HDMI port on the back is only a HDMI 1.4 OUTPUT. Not an Input.

You can not connect your Xbox console (or any other HDMI device) on that port besides a second monitor, to expand the desktop the PC inside that All-In-One on two monitors for multi monitor use.
