Can I charge my xbox one S controller on my powerbank or at a wall outlet while playing?

Do you have it directly plugged into the wall outlet or are you using an extension cord? If it is directly into an outlet, try plugging it into a different one. Mine does the flashing when I shut it down and i have a charge and
play cord plugged into my controller.

Not sure if its a direct issue with the rechargeable battery I am using (Its from Microsoft) or what it is. I appears as once my battery gets down to 3/4's full is when I have the issues. I have to just learn to deal with that I guess now. Until I get
a new controller where I don't need to use the stereo headset adapter.....

Can you try to power your controller through a USB powerbank without having the controller tethered to the console?

Does the issue still happen, when you power the controller through an USB powebank or an USB power supply from your wall outlet?

I have 2 wall sockets near my desk and one of them has the power strip while the other has the iPhone charger plugged in. The power strip powers the console and the monitor as well as a Macbook charger. I will try to plug the console to the wall outlet directly
tonight.

However, I must reiterate that when I removed the Xbox One S HDMI input to the monitor, it went to sleep after a while. Also, with this same setup, I never had this issue with my OG Xbox One.

I will report back after switching the console power to the wall outlet tonight.

I have the same issues with EVERY wireless controller, every rechargeable battery pack, every charging method (both the play & charge/USB-based one AND the wall-outlet based Quick Charge method. Only have two surviving wireless controllers out of 8 or so
I've bought during the lifetime of this 360 console, the only quick charge kit -i-ever-bought's LED's will not come on when plugged into the 1960's-era outlets wall outlets in my apartment (DO NOT say "move" this forum will change topic for a long time!) all
4 of the play & charge kits act weird (green light comes on suggesting that battery is full, so i pull out of USB and then, the low battery warning flashes on controller!) only one-and-a-half of the 6 different rechargable battery packs I've purchased during
the life of this console (one of them counts as "Half" since it can only hold charge for less than 3 ninety-minute playing sessions, and charge to being "full" after about 1 hour 40 mins via USB; the pack used to last for 7 or so 90-minute sessions before
emptying and charge over the course of 5 hours via USB; so it is obviously only 25% it's original size!),

Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. You can use a cellular USB cable charger to charge your controller normally while its connected to a PC or an Xbox. I'm not too sure if this would work if you had it connected to a wall out let though. Also keep
in mind that it would have to be the Micro USB charger cable. How exactly are you trying to charge the controller? Through a PC, or a wall outlet?
