Hello again, you will only know this when adding the Alias to the existing account, when trying to add the system will say if the account you want to add exists or not and if it can be added.

Hello Graham, what it's trying to do is an Alias addition.

However, to add an alias it cannot be from a Microsoft email that already exists, so that you can do that it will have to be an email from @gmail.com, @yahoo.com etc.

Thanks for your response, however that didn't clearly answer what I was asking.

I want to know if you can add an alias using an email that HAD a Microsoft account connected to it, but the Microsoft account was deleted since that is what I am trying to do.

I know what an alias addition is but I don't know whether or not you are allowed to add an alias that used to have an account but was deleted.

you can't merge accounts itself or fully move the Xbox Live Account to a different Microsoft Account, but something that could work for you is changing the primary email address for the Microsoft Account.

My assumption what steps might be required are:

- Change the primary email on the New Unused Xbox Account account to something else (you might need a new MS account/email for that) so that the Wanted email address is no longer attached to a Microsoft Account.

- Change the primary email on the Old Xbox account to the new wanted email address, so that that Wanted email address can be used to sign in to the Xbox main account.

There's nothing to alter. His email address has never been connected to my account. It doesn't show up anywhere in my Microsoft account or on my Xbox. The only primary email my account has ever had is my email address.

Unless you mean I should just change my primary address to another email entirely?
