    Can I change the audio sample rate from 48 khz to 96 khz on Xbox One X?


    I'm using a stereo digital DAC/Amplifier via optical output to play my Xbox One X audio and it reports me that the sample rate is only 48 khz.

    Would be nice to have a way to choose between 48 khz and 96 khz when using uncompressed stereo format.

    Troubles with GameDVR!

    make sure your devices sampling rate is set to 48 kHz or lower. if it's above that the app completely refuses to create audio tracks for the video.

    For clarification, this is an older machine. The motherboard is an nForce 730i with embedded nVidia video (GeForce 9300) and audio. The HDMI audio output doesn't even *support* Dolby/Surround - it only supports 2 PCM channels at either 44.1 kHz or 48.0 kHz.
    I'd have to use the PC's optical audio output if I wanted surround support.

    360 hdmi to tv optical to soundbar producing no sound. Xbox one also hooked via hdmi works fine.

    I found this on page 10 of the user manual.

    That may be an issue as there is no option to set the audio output on the 360 to PCM, maybe try the various options in the Audio settings on the xbox ?

    I would have thought that having both consoles connected via hdmi and just having the optical audio out from the tv to the soundbar would work though.
