Can I add Microsoft cash cards to my Xbox One console even if I have a Visa on it?

Like I wanna use this cash card I got but I already have my Visa and Bank card in my Xbox One how would I do this correctly?

Trying to purchase Japanese DLC for Japanese game.

Excuse me? Visa cards work internationally, as other users I've found about have confirmed with this with Xbox One.

I know my Visa card isn't restricted by Region, as I frequently use it with my Japanese-Region-Locked consoles and for other purchases.

Or are you saying that Microsoft adds further Region Lock on even the ability to buy their services? I find this very hard to believe.

How do I use the money in my Microsoft Account balance?

Recently, my existing points balance was converted to cash. I have just also redeemed a card for 4200 points which was also converted to cash and so now I have a Microsoft Account balance in excess of £49.

I am trying to by the Ghosts Season pass (on PC) but it says I need to add a payment method. If I add a credit card then still that is the only method I can buy the season pass with.

How do I use my Microsoft Account balance to purchase the season pass? Will it work on console?

Ok but on a purchase how do I make it charge the Xbox Live cash card and not my bank card or Visa instead?

 

Change the payment method to Microsoft account balance.

When you make a purchase there is an option to change your payment method. I don't remember the exact button, but it will be listed on the purchase screen. Switch it to the payment method you want to use.
