Can I activate 30-days XBL Gold prepaid code while I still have an active subscription?

Hello. Currently I own an unused code for 30 days of XBL Gold membership. Also I've got a Gold membership activated until 15th of July. Can I use my prepaid code right now and my Gold membership will be prolonged to ~15th of August? Or should I wait until
my current membership ends and then activate the code?

active gold than 1 month,
still not finished, but as I'm traveling
prodre not use so my question
is what if I can cancel it
then activate?

Let me explain better say that I miss
15 days to finish the gold
subscription, cancel it, then in December
with the same code to activate it the first time,
I can use it again to activate it.

I'd go with ricardos suggestion it's cheaper I seen prepaid xgu codes they ain't cheap

And as mentioned the yearly gold is cheaper and you can upgrade as long as you dont have an active xgu

You cannot add gold to xgu without taking the exchange rate while the subscription is current

It is probably because you previously activated your game pass ultimate subscription. If you redeem a prepaid gold or game pass code while you have active the game pass ultimate subscription, the code will extend the time of the game pass ultimate subscription
but considering a conversion. A 12-month code of Xbox Live Gold extends a 4-month equivalent of a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Yeah, you can't remove a credit card while it's attached to an active gold subscription. So even though you'd be on a prepaid membership, you still wouldn't be able to remove the card. So you're right. I would just wait for the subscription to expire, remove
the card, then add the prepaid.
