Can hear dashboard but not game audio

Same issue here, turtle beach earforce z11. Game audio is fine for battlefield 4, and geometry wars, but no audio for pinball arcade or xbox dashboard sounds. No chat audio comes through the headset, but party and game chat members can both hear my mic.
Just wasted $30 on a new adapter and its definitely not that.

So, I tried all of these and none of them worked. I was looking at some other posts about this issue and found that maybe the chat mixer in settings and the one of the Xbox Dashboard might not be the same. I changed the chat mixer is general settings but the one in the dashboard did not change. I cannot change the one in the dashboard at all. Do you know a way I might be able to change it or is it stuck like this?

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently facing audio issues on your Xbox one.

If you've made a change to your home entertainment system, changed your Xbox One display or sound settings, or just set up your console for the first time and have no sound, first check that:

• The TV audio is not muted and is at a reasonable volume.
  
• Your external or built-in TV speakers are properly connected and turned on.
  

If these conditions have been met, try the following solutions to resolve your issue.

Solution 1: Check your TV and HDMI connections:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options.
   
3. Select Video fidelity & overscan.
   
4. Under Display, select HDMI.
   

Solution 2: Troubleshoot when game or app audio is inaudible during voice chat:

If your active game or app becomes quiet or inaudible when you're using Kinect in party chat or on a Skype call, your Chat mixer may be set to focus only on the conversation. To adjust the level of sound while communicating, adjust the Chat mixer settings:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output.
   
3. Under Volume, select Chat mixer.
   
4. Select one of the available options.
   

Solution 3: Troubleshoot sound issues with an audio-video receiver:

If your Xbox One console is connected to an audio-video receiver that's connected to your TV and you have no sound, follow these steps:

1. Turn on your devices in the following order. Wait for each device to fully power up before starting the next device:
   
   1. TV
      
   2. Audio-video receiver
      
   3. Xbox One console
      
2. Use the Input button on your TV’s remote control to switch the input source of your receiver away from the console and then back (for example, HDMI1 to HDMI2, then back to HDMI1).
   
3. Restart the audio-video receiver.
   
4. Set your TV connection to HDMI:
   
   1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
      
   2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options.
      
   3. Select Video fidelity & overscan.
      
   4. Under Display, select HDMI.

I can hear game volume through my TV, just not through my headset. I can hear party audio, just not game audio.
