Can hear chat (party and community), but can only communicate to chat intermittently

Thanks a lot for the reply but I dont think this is the issue.

so my buddy and i both have xbox and we usually just use party chat and we communicate fine there.

when we switch to game chat however, we can hear eachother anymore. And when we have a third player in game chat that player can hear the both of us but my buddy and i still cant hear/communicate eachother.

does that make sense?

so essentialy we have to be in party chat to communicate.

In Party chat, you can communicate with your friends (or anyone for that matter) no matter what game everyone is playing. Game chat is only in game, you will only be able to communicate with people wihtin that game session although you can communicate
with your team-mates.

none of this worked. It is so odd. When I am in a party chat we can talk fine. We cant communicate in game chat though. Then when we add a third player in game chat we can each communicate with the third player but still cant hear eachother. I dont understand.

Why does Xbox support reps continue to just hang up on me when they are politely asked if they could help me fix this problem.... I am 14x and counting. Not rude at all, just begging for their help!

Yeah, we can do that. The only thing is, you're always in party chat. So there's no communication.
