    Can hear but not talk


    Recently I was having trouble with my parties, there would be this static noise that could be fixed by moving my headset cord so I thought it was just the headset then my Mic would just start cutting out and I had to move the cord around to get it back on,
    after about a week of this it just stopped working, I could hear my friend but my Mic wouldn't work, he had the same issue and had to get a new controller, I tested the headset out on a different device and It picks up my voice fine but when I plug it in to
    the controller it won't work, I have hard restarted the Xbox replaced the batteries, and resynced the controller to the Xbox and nothing is this a common problem or am I the only one,the headset is the afterglow lvl3.

    Can hear but can't talk????

    so I was playing destiny and I had to go talk to some people and then I come back and I was talking but they couldn't hear me I just bought this mic about a week ago and it's really disappointing that I can't use it. I've tried almost everything. It's not
    muted, I've rested my controller and xbox still won't Work. Please help??

    Have you checked the mic's compatibility with Xbox? Perhaps the version or company doesn't support that specific microphone...

    For the second option I can’t find communicate with voice and text

    I went to settings>privacy and online safety after that it says

    Xbox privacy-app privacy-message privacy and -data collection

    I click Xbox privacy> all my setting here look good but I don’t see communicate with voice and text
