Can "Gears of War" Backwards Compatible 360 Games for Xbox One also be ...

I have not been able to successfully Redeem any of the "Gears of War" backwards compatible Xbox 360 games (that I received Codes for as part of the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition promo) also on my Xbox 360.

When I attempt to Redeem any of my own Codes on my Xbox 360 that worked fine on my Xbox One, I get a statement that the respective Code has already been redeemed.

Is it possible to do so and if so, how?

What games will play on an xbox one S?

Any Xbox One games will work and any original Xbox/360 games that are backwards compatible will work. You can find a list of backwards compatible games here - Xbox One Backward Compatibility

Microsoft rolls out updates every month to add Xbox 360 titles to the Xbox One library, meaning that you can play Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One (with the disc you already own or digital download). You can see the full list of backward compatible titles

The company that made the six total Skylanders games first released "Spyro's Adventure" and "Giants" for just the Xbox 360 only. All the newer Skylanders games after that have been released on the Xbox One. What I was saying in my last post is that Spyro
and Giants can only be played on an Xbox 360 console at this time, since Microsoft has not yet worked on backward compatibility for those two games.

Stop and think. Gears of War 1 ,2, 3, Judgement were originally released for xbox 360. They are made playable on xbox one via an emulator.

The codes you were given are the actual 360 games, as there was never an xbox one version of them. When you run a 360 game on the xbox one, it downloads an xbox one compatible version, as the 360 version can't run natively on xbox one.

Codes can only be redeemed once, and yes you should be able to play gears games on the Xbox 360 too. Go to your download history (Settings - Account - Download History) on your Xbox 360, and find the games and start the download.

Being a newbie to the Xbox 360, I only attempted to Redeem the games by entering the Codes because I was unaware of why I couldn't find them anywhere in the GUI "Ready to Install" as on the Xbox One.

Thanks again... this is a really great Forum where members are willing to help the less knowledgeable!

There's never been a Ready to Install on the 360, just a download history. This is from owning a 360 since 2008.

There's always the idea of going to each game store page to see if it says 'download again'.

I got the lastest COD and i i also treated myself to gears of war 1, 2 and 3 in xbox 360 games as i am playing gears of war 4 at the moment, on my xbox one s, but i i kn that gears of war 1, 2 and 3 are backwards compatibility to play on xbox one

this is where I ready about the backwards Gears games. Would explain why I got Gears 3 as I never owned a digital copy on 360 only Arcade store games. But doesn't explain why I have not received the others so clearly issues with xbox.

Okay. I unlocked for items of DLC for use in Gears of War 3 through its Beta. They worked for me on my 360. Since playing Gears of War 3 via backwards compatibility on the Xbox one, I was not able to download the items. After going back on a 360, they had
disappeared from there also.
