Can EA link on Xbox be removed via my MS/Xbox account only?

Unfortunately, removing app permissions in your Microsoft account will not unlink it from your EA account. Because the account-linking process is done entirely on EA's end, I'm afraid the only way to unlink your accounts is to sign in to your EA account and do so from the "Connections" section of your account settings page.

Account making always happens on the company in question server. You would have to ask you EA support. you're simply using your Xbox potentials to fill in the details without having to do it manually

Exact MS account check!

Linked to Xbox account uncheck... that one doesn't have the funds.

• My MS account -> linked to old account that MS or EA cannot assist with, thus orphaned.
  
• no MS account ->New Xbox account not linked, but have Game pass on.
  

Is there a way to remove an Xbox account and link a new one?

N.B. please dont lock this thread yet like the other one with "any issues linking your xbox account with ea will have to be dealt with via ea support as microsoft dont have access to ea accounts."

The linking to enable EA Play with Game Pass is the joint responsibility of MS and EA and only works properly when newly initiated from the xbox app. Despite this feature being months late it's flaky and doesnt allow for a previous account linking for example.

like the above said, download the ea app, sign in with your xbox account using the xbox icon on the ea app and make sure your account is linked, then you can play ea access games via the ea app.
