    Can certain third-party apps reinstall on my Xbox one on their own after being uninstalled?


    So tonight I installed the app simple background music player and after 30 minutes I started getting worried that the app might change settings within my Xbox one without my permission and all sorts of other stuff so I deleted it but I’m very worried to
    use third party apps because I am afraid that they might do something bad to my Xbox one and also I’m afraid that after I uninstall them they will still remember me and try to install on their own and try to infect parts of my system like my games my external
    hard drive and other apps and files or even try bricking my Console

    Hi

    The Xbox platform isn't like a PC or mobile phone App Store. All apps have to be approved by Microsoft. It is impossible for them to contain code that is dangerous to the system or steal your personal information. Also, Apps can not install themselves on
    their own.

    You don't need to worry, your console is safe from harm.

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand having issue with an app. If the App is from a third party you will need to reach out to them. If it is from Microsoft directly we recommend posting in a Microsoft forum for the issue as this is for Xbox
    troubleshooting. Only thing I can suggest is uninstall and reinstall of the app, which you may have already tried.

    the problem is i cannot download the xbox app itself and thus am not able to run the xbox game bar, the xbox app was uninstalled by me yesterday and should appear here in the middle row:
