Can anyone recommend a fibre optic Router?

    Hi

I am with plus net and their routers are shocking, I am thinking about getting one myself and trying that as my broadband is having issues (if it doesn't work I will be changing provider), but no idea what I should be getting, one thing I do need is to me able
to port forward the same ports to multiple devices, something you can't do with the plus.net one (no matter what there tech support says).

    Any infor would be appriciated.

    :)

More positive news: $399 Xbox Ones "Flying Off The Shelves" at GameStop

The best anyone get's where I am is about 5mbps. Fibre optic is many years away.

Any Plusnet fibre users on here?

    Yes Argontheos is completely correct.

In fact Fibre Optic Gaming in Hull is probably the fastest and greatest broadband in the entire world considering that it all takes place in Hull.

Unfortunately Fibre Optic Gaming in Hull against anyone else in the world (the rest of Great Britain included) is a high speed connection to BT's copper lines... (a predicament far more BT Fibre users are actually participating in than are probably aware).

you normally cant forward the same ports to multiple devices, best to use upnp. what issues are you having.

Save yourself money, you only need but so much bandwidth to send and receive input commands.

4.5meg should be good enough for online gaming + chat.

The routers you get from plus.net are shocking.

I have had 3 routers in 18months and I am still having problems they can't put their finger on, now when I have upnp on I get a strict NAT, so they say do port forwarding, I have two xbox ones and at present two 360's, 4 PC's 1 laptop, 3 phones and more
to come, on the plus.net router I can't port forward the same ports on multiple devices.

I think I am also getting wireless interference from next doors wireless and I know plus.net router isn't going to make me happy.

Xbox one chat keeps crash, or fading in an out, I don't see any other option, although I am tempted to move to Zen or Sky and see how it goes.

You have all of the Xboxes connected at once?

I've heard of 2 Xbox devices having difficulty getting an Open NAT and it can be done on certain select routers (d-link 655 for example can have 2 Xboxes online at the same time both with Open NAT) but 4?

I don't know of any router that can do that for all of the ports necessary for Xbox Live.

    Good luck.

if you think interference is the cause, there are WiFi analyzer apps you can download for free on smartphones, download one and try and move your wireless channel 2(or more) away from any other signal, if possible.

we only have 2 xboxs on at the same time at present, but there could be 3-4 comps and 3 phones as well. If I port forward one xbox the nat type for that one does go to open, so it does have an effect.

All xboxes are wired the wireless is more a side issue although can be irratating when doing stuff.

You don't happen to have QoS (Quality of Service) enabled for any of the Xboxes? If so, turn it off.

Also, when you forwarded the ports, did you disable UPnP? Having both enabled can cause NAT conflicts.
