Can an Active Xbox 360 XBLG user get the Xbox One Games with Gold Games for future use?

I have a friend who is a current Active XBLG member and is considering an X1. I told her to try and take advantage of the Games with Gold offer now since she is about 2 months away. She went to Xbox.com and clicked on purchase...but never gets the confirmation
screen. Is she unable to buy if she doesn't own the console yet? I thought this worked just like PSN+?

I am a XBOX LIVE GOLD user but I am not a lucky owner of an XBOX ONE, but I am planning to purchase it in the near future. My question is: Can I benefit from the gifted XBOX ONE games included on the Games with Gold promotion to download them in the future?

It does have her go back into the store and game, it will say already purchased if it had.

 

1 Gold Membership gets you ALL the perks across both systems...

Where exactly would the game be saved too???? You must OWN the console to have the features my friend.... The consoles are NOT backwards compatable. Same for PSN AFAIK.

Maybe your friend should ask her own questions IMO.....

Like BongKaos said, you must own the Xbox One to receive offers from the Games with Gold program. But yes if you have purchased a gold membership on the Xbox 360 and transferred that same profile onto an Xbox One than you will still be a gold member ultimately
being able to receive special offers that members without would not.

I believe you can download the xbox one games from this site,without owning the console.

Not tried it myself, but apparently its true.

 

You do NOT have to own the console to download the games. You can do it straight from the website.

www.xbox.com/.../games-with-gold

It then informs you that that game along with whatever else you purchased will appear on your XBOne.

So yes you may take advantage of the games with gold before you own the console.

 

Just a note it looks like it was a browser issue. Imagine that Chrome didn't play well with and MS product. Anyway as Alariaria stated...NO need to own an Xbox One in order for you to claim the free Xbox One games on offer from Xbox Live Games with Gold.
You "buy" and then they are waiting for you in your history for when you get an Xbox One.
