    Can a Xbox One S Support 120Hz? Or 240?

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good afternoon

120hz is the maximum it can handle. if you have an hdmi output you can use your monitor, but remember that you need audio output to listen to your games.

    Can a Xbox One S Support 120Hz? Or 240?

The Xbox One S can support up to 120hz at 1080p and 1440p but not 240hz, but that's only worth while if the games can run at 120fps, however most Xbox One games are locked to either 30fps or 60fps, so a 240hz monitor is a waste of money as you'll never get to see those frame rates

A 240hz monitor is only worth it if your getting / seeing 240fps, also there are very few people on this planet that can tell or see the difference between 120hz and 240hz and those that can, are the ones who play in big money gaming tournaments,

Unless you're part of a high end pro gaming tournament team, playing for big money, 240hz monitors are not worth it, if your just an average joe gamer, a 144hz monitor would be better suited as most of us can't see or tell beyond 120hz refresh rate, even a 144hz monitor for an Xbox One S is also pointless, unless you're upgrading to the newer Xbox Series X,

But your going to need a PC capable of 240fps to make use of a 240hz monitor, but again 240hz monitor for consoles is pointless and a waste of money.

    4k 120hz issue

    Hi,

Do you have the Xbox One, or the Xbox Series S? You'd be surprised how many people get the names confused.

If it's an Xbox One S, then that console doe not support 120Hz @ 4K. Also, the HDMI out on the Xbox One S is HDMI 2.0, not 2.1. Only the Xbox Series S and Series X support 4K @ 120Hz via the console settings. The One S is only 1080P.

Bear in mind also, that there are no games for the Xbox One S that do 120Hz (or 120 fps). The 120Hz option is only there to support VRR (variable refresh rate).

If you want to play 120Hz supported games, you will need a Series X. The Series S support of 120Hz games is a lot more limited.

Note that on the Qn95a, only HDMI 4 supports HDMI 2.1

Can xbox one s run fortnite 120fps

Hi Raven. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

Xbox One S does not support 120Hz. Only Xbox Series S and X support 120Hz, and 120fps is available in select games, including Fortnite.

Gaming with 4k on Xbox One S

Xbox One S and X does not support 4K at 120hz and to get 4K at 120hz you need a HDMI 2.1 port on both console and TV,

also the Xbox One S is a 1080p console that upscales to 4K unlike the One X which is 4K console.
