Can a US original Xbox work in the UK?

I have a ton of games for my original Xbox (manufactured in 2003). It was bought in the US and the games are NTSC. I know the games won't play on a UK original Xbox since they use PAL.

So....Is there any way to use a US original Xbox in the UK?

Swapping out the power cord is easily enough done; my question is whether that will fry the box.

Simply put, is the internal power supply in the original Xbox compatible with 220/240?

Failing that, could I run it through a transformer?

Final option: could I replace the internal power supply with a UK 240v version?

The Xbox One is multi-voltage. This means that a U.S console will work in the United Kingdom and Europe without issues. You'll only need an adapter for the plug. But if you want to go on the side of caution, I'll recommend you use a transformer. Also The Xbox One is not region-locked. Any Xbox One physical games you have will run in your Xbox One console no matter the country it is in.

For that one you'll need to get a transformer for the console. The disc stays the same though. You'll be able to play your disc games wherever you are

Yes GTA:Trilogy was released in 2 regional versions: UK and US. The GTA

ouble Pack was released in US, UK. Japan and Australia. I think this means that thr Trilogy will not work in Hong Kong

Xbox LIVE functionality for original Xbox games has been discontinued. You can, however, play system link between original Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles.

All currency you purchase in the US will only ever work on a US account. Even if you gave all of it (rather than the 1/3 you originally intended) to someone with a UK account, they can not use any of it. They can only use currency
purchased from UK.
