    Yes, you can transfer any and all games to an external device, factory reset your Xbox and then transfer them back

    It was unclear what type of storage you are talking about. If you use an external hard drive with USB 3.0 it is possible.

    External hard drive question time!.

    I have two separate 2 TB external hard drives, for a total of 4 TB of extra storage. I haven't had any issues with either drive.

    Sorry to hear you're running out of room. You can attach up to 3 USB 3.0 external hard drives ranging in size from 256 GB - 16 TB in size for extra storage space.
