Can a Admin please contact me and or help me out?

I just got finished talking to an agent and they told me to post in the Form. The previous owner of the Gamertag "Dan" change his name around 5:00 PM yesterday and no one yet has the Gamertag but it is reserved. I have enough money to change it right now
but I can't were its reserved. If the Gamertag "Dan" stays reserved for a week can you unreserve it for me so I can purchase and change my Gamertag to "Dan" if you need to contact me My Gamertag on Xbox one is "Danny Hits". Thank you for your time, bye.

As long as you did nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about. Just please note that staying in a modded game and playing is just as bad. Again if all you did was join the game, you were bumped up, you shut off your game and restarted then you did nothing
really wrong. They can tell who is doing it for fun and who is not.

You won't get banned for this, as you have not committed the Modding/ Hacking. If you could report the player for this under file complaint in their profile it would be great, as this is a big problem Thanks for bringing this up, and just make sure that

Unfortunately support has told you the wrong advice. There is no-one on the forum who can help you with your request.

All you can do is keep trying to name change and hope you beat another user, or the account sellers, as Microsoft don't take requests on gamertags.

 

Sounds odd to me that someone would just give up the rare gamertag of "dan" just at random.

 

Yeah right he changed it from "Dan" to "Dank" look him up on Xbox One

 

And what pointless is that he plays once a month if that

 

When you search the tag "Dan" it still fetches up his account as "dank",

So it some way it is still associated with his account.

How do you know he changed his tag at 5.00pm yesterday, is he a friend of yours?

 

@Owen If you're friends with someone, or you're following them, a message will come up on your Activity feed that they have changed their name.

Also, the original owner of that name may have created a new account, and put the name there.

 

When I searched for the "Dan" profile, it said page not found, so it sounds like it's available right now.

 

Just curious, but how do you search for gamer tags? Thanks
