Can A 1tb Hard Drive & A New Controller Sell More Xbox Ones?

I could see your point if he hadn't added the PC and PS4 part to his post.

 

It's the games that make me buy a console, it may help shift a few, but the games will be the seller in my opinion.

I am still waiting for the 5 TB HDD to drop down from $200 so I am stuck with my 231 GBs of HDD space until then.

Please understand that it isn't my intention to be mean / rude to Microsoft about using a 500 GB for the older X1 units, but they should have realistically realized that a 1 TB HDD is required given the large amounts of HDD space that the games consume.

I checked it out and in NZ according to this site, there's a 1TB Halo bundle for NZ$649. The Kinectless console sells here for $599 and console with Kinect $749. The 1TB console price EXCLUDES Kinect. I agree with "Lei Fang DOAX3". Even though game saves
direct to Xbox Live which is convenient in case your console's HDD or storage device malfunctions, game file sizes are easily at least triple the size of that of Xbox 360 games. I mean were talking easily 40GB, not 6GB. I have the Day One X1 console and a
Seagate Slim 1TB external HDD. My console's HDD has only 10GB free space, and my external HDD is only 28% full with 930GB free space to play with I got it from JB Hi Fi a retailer which Australian's and NZ'rs would recognize. I got my Seagate HDD early this
year and it comes with a 3 YEAR WARRANTY yay. Replaceable HDD's would have been a better option. Xbox 360 and PS4 has it. So that when the 5400rpm HDD malfunctions, you can just buy another Xbox HDD rather than having to send the WHOLE console to Microsoft
for repair.

Goth, it could help with some people. They see the larger hard drive and that is it. But many will look at the price. Like it or not MS has to realize that the $350 price is the accepted price for many since it has been in place so long. They care little
about the 500gb-1tb hard drive. And more than some would like to give credit understand the external hard drive deal and ease of use.

If I was choosing between the 500gb ($350) and 1tb ($400) AND both came with the same stuff in terms of game or no game etc. I would chose the 500GB and buy my a nice external drive. I have seen some 1tb for just a little more than $50 and would effectively
have 1.5tb for my console. And for just a little more I can get a 2tb+ and have 2.5tb.
