A 1TB inside the Xbox may sway some people into getting this version. A new controller with a minor revision, not so much.

The Call of Duty bundle included a 1TB hard drive, so that really doesn't make too much of a difference.

It might but I think more new AAA games will sell systems.

  7. Yep. well that plus the monthly updates have convinced me to "convert" from 360 to One.

Make a slightly slimmer version and let us swap the internal HDD like we can with the removable HDD which Xbox 360 and PS4 has. Give some lollies or chocolate or balloons and a 1 month Free Xbox Live Gold gift card with it, and that will get my attention.
I got a Seagate SLIM 1TB external HDD at the start of this year from JB Hi Fi and Seagate offers a 3 YEAR WARRANTY STANDARD on my external HDD, not just the standard 12 month warranty consoles come with. HDD's are prone to malfunction and have spinning moving
parts and are slower than solid state drives but by far less expensive than solid state hard drives. I'd still like the UI to be more like Xbox 360 rather than a Windows 8 PC UI with boxes here and snap this. What may help sell more units may be Halo 5, Direct
x12 and Windows 10. Microsoft also acquired Minecraft so yeah why not get a Microsoft console? They show just as much interest in the game as me a millions around the world.

  9. Possibly, but in my opinion it would be better to just go out and buy an ext hdd. I have a 2tb ext hdd and only 20% of it is used right now. That is probally the cheapest way to ugrade your storage unless people haven't purchased a Xbox One yet. Then I can
see it making money because I'm sure a lot of people haven't taken the plunge yet from the 360.

Actually smileskybird I'm okay not being able to change internal HDDs, I much prefer external HDDs because all you have to do is plug it in, format it, and you're go to go, only takes about a few minutes. Whereas changing internal HDDs can take about 15-20
    minutes.

Personally I much prefer being able to change out the internal hard drive. I already have enough components and wires around my entertainment system. I really don't need anymore clutter from an unnecessary external drive, or yet another device that produces
heat. Not to mention, I need all of the electrical outlets I can get.

  12. Being able to swap out the internal HDD has its advantages over externals.

    1) When you turn off the system the HDD turns off as well.

    2) As long as it isnt fully encased. It runs cooler as the internal cooling system draws heat out and away from the hdd.

    3) You get the choice of either keeping the cheap internal which comes with your system, or going solid state as well as size vs 500 - 1TB currently being offered.

It really doesn't matter because you can't change the internal hdd.
