Can 2 Xbox Live Gold profiles on the same console both play a DLC map pack if only one profile ...

I believe that on the 360, DLC can be shared among profiles on the same console, just not on Xbox One.

Ok first to explain it

Lets call the primary account account 1 with gold and games and dlc

And the second account account 2 that wants to play coop etc whatever

Console 1 is the home console

And console 2 is visiting console

Console 1 Account 1 makes console 1 home and both account 1 -2 can use dlc and gamea and gold on console.1

On console 2

Account 1 must sign into live to use dlc and games at all times

Account 2 does NOT have gold on console 2 as ita on console 1 you have a limit of 10 switches per year gamepass isnt shared only the gold part of ultimate is with one gold only one can be roaming

Keep in mind an profile can only signed in on one place at a time so there Must be two profiles for them to play together

You have to.use the home.Xbox feature which can only be one console at a time

Profile 1 with gold

Profile 2 no gold

Console 1

Console 2

Ok profile one has to.make.console 1 the home.console

Profile 2 can ONLY use console.1 with gold

PROFILE 1 can use console 1 or 2 or any console as long as you are signed into live

So idealy you want profile 1 only use console 2 if you want both profiles to be used at the same time

But profile 1 can roam.profile 2 can't play on any other console unless another profile.has home.console on that console

That will change shortly with Xbox gamepass ultimate family plan once it releases right now it's testing in two countries

Xbox licensing works two ways: if your profile buys a game or DLC (DownLoadable Content, like a map pack add-on for a game), you can access that content on any Xbox 360 console that is connected to Xbox Live, and on the first console you download it
on any profile can access it. The latter is usually called the "console license" or "offline license", because the console and profile do not have to be connected to Xbox Live to access the game.

Your situation is a little more complicated because there are at least three profiles involved: yours, and one for each of your grandsons (I'm assuming). If your profile buys a game and downloads it on Console A, any profile can play the game on that console,
whether there's an Xbox Live connection or not. On the other one, Console B, the game can only be played when your profile is signed in to Xbox Live.

Since you shouldn't be giving your grandsons access to your profile, one thing to do would be for Grandson A to buy a game first on the console mostly used by Grandson B. That way, when A goes back to "his" console, he can re-download the game and play it (as
long as there's an Xbox Live connection), and B still has access to the game via the console license.

Of course, the secondary accounts in a Family Pack can't have payment methods on their profiles, so they have to buy games with Points. They can get Points on their accounts by using codes from prepaid cards, or you can buy the Points on your profile and then
assign them to the other profiles.

It seems a little complicated at first, but it makes sense after you understand it. Sharing a single purchase across multiple profiles on two consoles can be achieved with some planning.

The other profiles under my gold family pack are playing on the same game console but cannot access new maps.
