Campaign ?

Does this game have no coherent co-op campaign mode ? Just a bunch of isolated "kill house" sort of tutorials (situations) ?

Those campaigns are a tad annoying.
The repeatable quest are limited to once every 20 hours or so, so if you complete one and didn't do it as part of the campaign, the campaign can run out before you get a chance to attempt the quest again.

 

Single player campaign - COD Ghosts or Battlefield 4?

The Ghosts campaign is much the same as every IW COD campaign, so if you liked the MW campaigns then you'll like this. Personally, I love them and Ghosts was another cracker. The BF campaigns are a bit crap IMO. Bad Company 2 was ok as the characters were pretty likeable but BF3 was awful and BF4 seems more of the same. Looks fantastic though.

 

Affirmative. No single player campaign except for the Situations to get Renown. Still a fun game in my opinion. If you need someone to play with, let me know! Enjoy. Cheers!

 

Yep, no single player campaign! This is the trend in the industry, so you had better get used to it. This is a way for the software houses to put as little effort into these games as possible, make them online/multiplayer only, and then soak the consumer
to death with micro-transactions. So eventually, the game you paid $60 for ends up costing you so much more over the future ownership of the game. It's sad really, and I'm not going to stand for it. I've been an avid R6 fan for years, but when I found out
this latest Ubisoft offering had no single player campaign I decided to NOT support Ubisoft, and so I am keeping my $60. Screw'em.

 

Yeah, but the last situation after you finish the initial 10. It is a great starting point for a co-op only campaign as part of supporting the game in the future. In my opinion, of all the missions in different Rainbows that
I have played. It was the best because you are not relying on AI to help you. But 4 other humans and when you finish it(especially with people with no mics). It is a better feeling than completing some run of the mill campaign.

 

You are correct that there is no campaign. Instead it has a lot of scenarios to learn how the different operators play, their specialties, and the different maps and game modes. Seems to me that Ubisoft decided to take Rainbow back to it's roots, which is
not necessarily a bad thing.

 

It looks that way since I have been playing it and I am disappointed. I am not one that just goes into a room because I don't spend as much time playing as others and I am not that good. I am looking for really cool, mature people to play the game with.
I don't go for the cursing, berating or racist talk by 12 year olds.

I really wish that they would go back to the Original Game play.

 

That's right, there is no campaign. It was designed to be a multiplayer game and all you have are the situations offline.
