    Campaign Leaderboards Broken


    So for some magical reason I thought it would be fun to try my best and get some high scores on the leaderboards, however doing so in Halo 4 or cross game playlists with Halo 4 missions in it will break the leaderboards. Here's how.

    Unlike other games, Halo 4 seems to crash frequently between missions, suffer fatal load zone bugs or corrupt checkpoints. Once this happens you either have to restart the playlist from the start (not ideal for LASO) or somehow restart the mission via overriding
    the checkpoint. Once you continue, your score will be lost. Example: In Halo 4 LASO I had some pretty high scores leading to Infinity but my game crashed and I couldn't reload the save then it happened again on Reclaimer.
    Sadly according to the scoreboard my scores were only recorded from Reclaimer-Midnight and all previous missions had stated I scored 0 on them.

    So I guess trying to get a massive score on The Legendary Master Chief Saga would be impossible? You'd get nice scores leading to Halo 4 and then
    basically you'd lose it all and only have your score from Reclaimer-Midnight be recorded, which is a giant load of crap.

    Another thing about the leaderboards is time. Nobody can really compete with time leaderboards as they are completely rigged with some odd times being recorded there (0-1 second? I don't think so) and checkpoint sharing via coop to set someone to the last
    mission would make it like you spent less than an hour to complete LASO since people just had to do 1 mission. The only true way for people to compete is just score but if you have Halo 4 in the mix you run the risk of losing all that score...

    Wait? People actually look at the leaderboards? I thought they've always been broken...

    Reset leaderboards

    Leaderboards mean nothing except for who is the biggest booster, broken game or not.

    Are the Leaderboards broken ?

    I am hoping they include some type of Objective leader-board. I think that would be really good. Once the early hackers drop of the leader-board list all those riding high will deserve some appreciation.

    And to OP..... you have to get enough points to get into the 250k's. Easy as that. But can tak a day or five to get it updated

    Funny that you mentioned boosters.

    I've seen more and more guys hiding in corners like they did in the ps3-beta............. trying to boost.

    Medics and assault, with one or two from the oposite team to give damage to ppl or vehicles.

    Actually followed a few of them around for half a day, to have fun with them. The funny thing is that they never stopped

    I roadkilled and roadkilled them. Had a hard time trying to stop laughing. They went back to the same spots over and over again

    i do like to track my way up leaderboards. kind of rewarding despite the boosters / try-hards.

    also its nice when comparing w friends. my only problem is that wins and losses should be displsyed as well.

    it took a day but im on there now btw. thanx for the responses.
