  1. Campaign gaming

    Greeting fellow Gamers.

For certain reasons I can't play competitive MP games online. So I am confined, if you will, to having to play mostly campaigns. Problem is most games these days are geared for online MP gaming.

Recently I purchased a few COD games for the 360 and beat Black Ops 2's campaign within a day. Yawn... - My rule is to wait until campaign games are under 10 bucks but I decided to splurge - But to beat a campaign game within a day is boring, not to mention
having to pay some 34 bucks for such a short campaign. Money wasted if you ask me. Thus I hope not to ever make that mistake again.

Now, I hope to one day obtain an Xbox One, or PS4. When I do I don't want to go out and pay good money for short campaign games. So, besides Batman: Arkham Knights - I'm hoping you can list some very good campaign games that are actually worth the "time" and
"effort" to invest money into obtaining and playing. Oh, and Halo 1, 2, 3,and 4 - Been there, done that many times over.

So what are the best, and longest X1 campaign games?

    :)

  3. Call of Duty going to a 3 year cycle?

I could do without the campaigns, but zombs needs to be there. The campaigns and single player in general is so 1990s IMHO. Back on Sega and PSI there were a ton of great single player campaigns MoH, etc, but todays gaming world, MP is king.

Shadow Of Mordor - only recent campaign game with some substance.

Generally it's adventure/RPG games that have the decent campaigns. Stay away from FPS - as they tend to just have a campaign as a "intro"/filler.

Lol why would anyone go and pay money for a COD campaign? Clearly that was a decision that was not well thought out. Gamefly or Redbox it.

    Dragon Age

    Shadow of Mordor

    Watch Dogs

    GTAV

    Diablo 3

Those are games I've bought this year with a good amount of content that will last you a good while unless you speed run them.

I'm not a massive MP fab either. I found Far Cry 4 good, plenty of stuff to do without the MP aspect.

  10. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, unless you already played it on 360. Real enjoyable campaign, actually, better than Unity for sure. Not as much traditional 'Assasin's Creed', more of a pirate game with the Assassin/Templar stuff as a side-note, but still
a fun campaign of a pretty good length.

Can't think of any others at the moment, though. Dragon Age: Inquisition looks like it'll be good. I don't know how the campaign of Sunset Overdrive actually plays out (don't have the game myself yet... hopefully for Christmas), but the gameplay was real
fun for me in the little bit of time I got to play it.

Well since you are obviously the shooter type, Far Cry 4 is the place to be. Amazing game.

    ^^ I second that.

Far Cry 4. It's the best game I've played in a few years. There are so many epic moments that just happen randomly. You will not regret buying this game. The campaign is long. I have played only singleplayer and have so many hours finished
    and I'm only 38.5% complete.

Tomb Raider. No need to explain, but it's awesome and it took me about 20 hours to complete. I search every nook and cranny though and I take my time.

Alien: Isolation. This is another game that took me 20 hours to complete on hard. It's a fine game. It's very intense.

Watch_Dogs: I got 80 hours out of this. About 75 hours was on the single player campaign. You do not need to complete it 100% but if you do you'll get a lot of life out of it. I loved this game.

Wolfenstein: The Order. It's a really good game. Nice sharp graphics. It's fun and fairly long for a FPS. It was again about 18 to 20 hours.

Metro Redux: 2 games for the price of 1. Both great and both really fun. Together you will get more life than all CoD campaigns together.

I liked Thief myself, but the amount of loading screen killed it. It's on sale for €13.20 at the moment which is definitely a good deal.
