    After a year of calling xbox one customer support and having them tell me it's just software problems they wait till my Xbox is out of warranty and tell me at that point I need to send it in to get it fixed. This was after 5-6 previous calls for the same
    problems starting days after getting my Xbox one day one edition. Now I am told I have to pay $130 to get something fixed that they lied to me about till my box was out of warranty. Not to mention the call to speak to a supervisor took over 90 minutes. Has
    anyone else experienced this extremely terrible support? Is this the new sub par standard? Trying to figure out if I should pay any more money into a company that won't take care of a customer that has been with them for going on 10 years or if I should switch
    consoles. Maybe this is another reason the Ps4 won the console wars. Just leaves me extremely disappointed in how poor xbox support is. Thanks for nothing xbox one.

    Sorry but nobody in their right mind would call up over a course of a year stating their xbox is acting up, I would have called, if not got anywhere gone through to a supervisor, if within the year warranty took it back to the store, simple.

    I was also unaware that ps4 won the "console war"

    Both systems haven`t even been out two years yet, how has anything been won???

  6. I didn't even know there were "Console Wars"...Real gamers play for a great game not a console. Fanboys created the console wars they try and pit users in this mold like you have to pick a side or your losing a war that doesn't matter nor exists.

    I'm sorry you were unable to get your console to service within the warranty period...If you feel it was because of support you have every right to complain to a supervisor about that and hopefully find a middle ground. But I can say in all my dealings with
    Microsoft support I have never been told no I can't send something under warranty in for service. Also why did you wait until the 26th of March 2k15 to complain about a Day One edition which was released back 22nd of Nov of 2k13...Warranty has been expired
    for quite some time now on those as I own the same unit.

  7. Sorry to hear this OP. And contrary to Popular belief, getting the run around happens more often than people would think.

    Without documentation (Phone records/case numbers, etc) I don't think that there is much you can do at this point. Personally, I wouldn't pay the $130 bucks, but would rather put that $ to other use. Don't exactly know how "Out of warranty service" works
    but would expect that it's not an extended warranty but rather a one time thing.

    So even if you pay the $130 bucks there is no guaranty that you'll get back a thoroughly repaired console.

    Yes, back in 01, or maybe as late as 02, (Extended Microsoft Warranty. Ya me!) I had 4 8GB consoles I had bought New, and they spent more time traveling via Fed Ex than I spent playing them. Yet they never got repaired, for as soon as I would get them back,
    hook em up. about a Week later.. Here comes Fed Ex again. They finally replaced one of em with another used console. But after plugging it in it shot out pretty little flashes of light along the right side. And... here comes Fed Ex again!

    After the warranty period was over, I finally learned what was happening. Dirty Disc Error (DDE - Initial Problem that all 4 had, to Unrecognized Disc Error - URDE - Meaning the console couldn't tell the difference from a CD, DVD, or Game Disc) was due to
    Thomson drives laser burning out quick, and all M's repair center was doing was pot tweaking it, then mailing it back to me. Problem was after a few days of playing Halo via System link. It would burn out again, sent back, re pot tweaked, then back to me...,
    burn out again. - The pretty sparking console was due to a bad internal power supply design.

    So like you I got the run around until 2 years later... "Ex Warranty period is over. You'll have to pay X amount for repair. How would you like to submit payment Sir?" - "Not gonna do it." - "Okay, Good day Sir!"

    Now I simply wait until the Quality goes in before buying Consoles from any manufacture. No more Early Adapters in this family!
