    Not sure if this will help, but when I installed Skype, I was asked if I wanted to merge my Skype and XBL logins, have you done/tried that?

    Maybe just me..but did anyone else assume you would be able to video call between xbox friends as well (i.e. not just Skype contacts)?

    I thought I read that they are using the skype infrastructure for the game chat, so assumed it would be an extension of that..like the old Kinect chat on the 360.

    You don't state from whom the call came. It would be highly unlikely for Microsoft to contact you about your IP address. Sounds like scammers.
