Call of duty update broke the game!

Hello all,

I ask desperatly for help. I have had no Problem at all with modern warfare. Update after update went fine. The other day the update kept bugging out and telling me ”install stopped, please try again later when you have better internet” it eventually downloaded
in about 20 hours which is strange because my mbps is above 20. As soon as i got into the game it did not ket me join any actual online games. It would out me in the lobby where it would wait and say loading level until it would kick me from the server. I
Tried powercycling it many times and also disconnecting my modem. eventually I decided to delete the game and tried redownloading. this went fine until it hit 60 percent and the same thing popped up “install stopped, please try again later when you have better
internet” so i thought it was really my internet, but i then dowloaded the fortnight update with no problem. So now i factory reset it and kept my games and it still is doing the same problem making me think it really is just on call of duty fault. I have
contacted activision and have gotten no response. I have no clue what to do. Please help me get this downloaded so i can play again. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are getting error when trying to play. There been
an influx of posts with the issue of the update. We recommend to uninstall and reinstall the game then it should update correctly. Personally this worked for me as I got update had
same issues.

I tried that already. Uninstalled the game and now i keep getting the same stop installation problem.

I'm worried that about the statement "now you need skill". Halo takes more 'skill'. That doesn't mean it is more enjoyable.

I enjoy Call of Duty because it is a smooth, easy to play, semi-realistic, addicting first person military shooter. I don't play video games for the competitive scene. I play call of duty to chill and have fun. I camp, I rush, I use goofy set-ups/tactics.
It all depends on my mood, who I'm playing with and the game mode.

If all enemies are jumping around/flying through rooms that doesn't sound like Call of Duty. That sounds like Halo and Titanfall. They are both decent franchises, but again, that isn't Call of Duty.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I’m currently having the same problem. I tried to update call of duty modern warfare, but it refuses to update. I canceled the update and uninstall the entire game, I am even went as far as to factory reset my Xbox. But to no prevail I am unable to install
call of duty modern warfare.

Hello I believe I found an answer install your game offline and go online there should be an update if you click accept it should start it and your game will look like its installing again but it is actually installing the update and it will give you a
percentage however this does not work for "CALL OF DUTY GHOSTS"

for it to work for "CALL OF DUTY GHOSTS" you need to have a friend who installed the update and can play online to invite you and then it will ask you to update hope this works for you!
