Call of Duty pre-orders down 40% on last year

People reporting that there copies from simply games have just turned up hopefully mine will today.and from now on i will be using them

 

I know they cycle the devs but what I meant was that they could all just stop and think about something brilliant together. No devs working on any CoD for a year or so alone and instead come up with ideas together. It won't happen though, at least not if
people keep buying the games, but at least if pre orders are down we're on the right path.

 

^^^^^ No arguments from me. I much preferred it when a BF game was a few years apart. I'm not interested in Hardline for that very Reason.

 

Are they counting digital in this. Most likely not and I know 7 people personally that are waiting on the 360 version to get the One version free. That way they can play on the 360 or One. I am doing this with a copy so that my son can play with his 360
friends and we can game on the One. So that is having an effect on the sales numbers as well. Just reading around I would say there are a decent number of people waiting for that. Seems the hope is the game will be up before the 4th on the 360 so that there
is access for the Day Zero double XP. I would say if they counted digital and had the 360 version up the sales numbers would be really solid for this. Seems the game is getting a decent amount of buzz this time. Some may have to due with the new game mechanics
and people being interested in trying.

This is good in my opinion. Call of Duty needs to take a step back and re evaluate. Instead of "Copy, Paste, Repeat". Copy, Paste, Repeat, add a twist. Copy, paste, repeat with a twist add a shake. Copy Titanfall, paste

 

thats because the game looks STUPID!?!?

 

Good less aholes online and hopefully much better competition that does not resort to chessy wuss tactics when it comes to gamesmanship!!!!!!

well it seems ps4 users can't get online well most keep getting crash error no fault here on the xb1 works fine

 

Doc, practically every game franchise in existence follows the formula you just applied - they have to find a balance of bringing back what people loved while adding more or doing something different. That's the best way to bring in new and old customers
alike.

Seriously, think about it... Just some game franchises off the top of my head that have had similar sequels: Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, Halo, Gears of War, Bioshock, Grand Theft Auto, Forza Motorsport, Magic the Gathering, Little Big Planet, Super Mario
Bros., Smash Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Far Cry, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and on, and on, and on...

It's this very reason why I like to judge a game on its own merits rather than on other similar games or previous titles in the series. Sure, it may not be as fun as it was for you in the past, but is that necessarily a problem with the game? Or you? Many
people get bored playing games that may seem the same once they reach a certain threshold - there's nothing wrong with that. Still, that doesn't make it a bad game per se' - it just makes it not as fun for you, that's all.
