Call of Duty MW3 DLC won't work!

I purchased a BRAND NEW sealed Call of Duty MW3 from Amazon.com.

It included a DLC for Collection 1, which includes extra Spec Ops missions. I would love to play these, but the download code doesn't work.

I spent 2 hours chatting with support on Friday 2/13 and they verified that the code was good, but I was still not able to redeem it online or through my console.

I would like for Xbox Advocacy to contact me with a $14.99 credit so that I can purchase the DLC and get a new code.

Thoughts?!?

Q – What happens if I bought a Call of Duty Elite Premium membership recently? Will I still get a year of Call of Duty ElitePremium services and all Call of Duty: MW3 DLC?

A – Yes, Call of Duty Elite Premium members will continue to enjoy all the Call of Duty: MW3 DLC and the full range of Call of Duty Elite Premium services and operations for Call of Duty: MW3 through the terms of their subscription.

Q – If I bought a Call of Duty Elite Premium membership recently, will I get Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC?

A – Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC is not included in the Call of Duty: MW3 Season of Content membership. We’ll be releasing new details soon.

 

content on usb flash drive deleting itself

i have a usb flash drive and it meets the requirements to be used on the xbox and i am have had numerous problems with it deleting dlc content for Call of duty: MW3 and Call of duty Black ops 2. i have the dlc downloaded and the next day 99% of the dlc content
is gone

 

Just spent another hour on the PHONE with support. They are unwilling to help. They "don't deal in currency" and don't have the authority to credit money to my account. They again verified that the code I have is good and has not been redeemed, but refuse
to help me any further, instead sending me to GameStop to buy a new code or contact Activision. Working with Activision now.

 

Was the game that you purchased from the same region (country) as your account and physical location? You may have purchased a game from a different country and therefore the codes will not work.

 

I just got offline from ActivisionAssist. They were no help. They verified the code is valid, then tried to run me through the same 3 hour troubleshooting that Microsoft did. They said they could not generate a new code or give me credit for the DLC.
Next they told me contact Microsoft back, then abruptly ended my chat session.

I started a new chat session with a new agent and got the same answers. He said it isn't their problem. It's a Microsoft issue. In both cases there was no way for me to escalate to a manager.

So, who's at fault? Microsoft or Activision?

I have a valid code (verified by Microsoft and Activision) that doesn't work for me. Where do I go from here?

I'm sincerely sorry to hear about the code issues and any frustration this has caused! I see you mentioned trying the code on our Code Redemption page, but if
you don't mind, I'd give it another go as there was a service alert up yesterday similar to this issue. If it gives you an error, try to keep an eye out for a code that may look something like this:
0x00000000

Try to redeem that code on our redemption page and post back with the full error code you receive so we can help you get this sorted!

 

Tried the code again today. No luck on the console or the website. Activision contacted me again and asked for more information, but the problem has yet to be resolved.

 

When entered on the Microsoft website, I get this error code: 80153005

That means it's expired, however, Activision said the DLC code doesn't expire, ever. It's valid, it's not been redeemed, and it's not expired.

When I try to enter the DLC code on my console, I get this message with the red circle white 'x'. "Code is not valid, please enter a valid code".

Just an FYI, I've downloaded several games and game episodes in the past 3 weeks with no issues what-so-ever. This is the first and ONLY DLC that hasn't worked for me.

 

Unfortunately that error does usually mean the code has expired. I recommend contacting the retailer you purchased the game from to see about getting a different code.
