Call of Duty MW crashes when I hit the Xbox home button

Aight, ive been playing MW for a while and whenever my friends send me an invite to their xbox voice party the game crashes.. not immediately but once I get to the MW home screen (like to start a new match). I have absolutely no clue what to do to fix it, and any help would be much appreciated because i dont want to have to continue to wait through the loading screen 10 times just because i joined a party.

Also side question.. is there any way that i can make my controller not turn off after 15 minutes? I play M&K on MW sometimes and when my controller turns off I lose all my audio and I cant talk to my teammates. Clarification on this would also be highly appreciated

The crashing or freezing of a certain game/apps is generally related to the network which is why I will provide you with the official link to all the troubleshooting steps that can help sort this out for you. Before going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the link I was referring to, I would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address and perform a quick power cycle:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

When you say to do the reset, does this reset remove anything from my Xbox? I want to make sure because I really don't want to lose anything other than the issues I was having.

I sometimes have the same issue - also the console crashes when I hit the home button! - Happens on 2 of my controllers!

I have tried this and the crashing still persists. I have noticed that sometimes when i shake my controller it will cut to the dashboard. Every time it cuts to the dashboard it seems to be related to the controller, a button I've pressed or shaking it.
It randomly picks a button and treats it like I'm hitting the home button. It will do it every time I hit that button for about 5 crashes then its picks a different button.

Could it be my controller?
