    I don't ever want to play Warzone but apparently that's the only game mode I'm allowed to play. I insert the game disc and launch the game for it just to tell me I do not own the game and that I need to purchase it. I've tried moving the games from one
    hard drive to another just to "refresh" it... I am NOT uninstalling the 100GB game just to reinstall it. I have garbage download speed so that would take me about a week to reinstall. If anyone has a solution that they think might help, much would be appreciated!

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    We may just need to refresh the license which is on the disc, kindly remove the disc and then perform a powercycle before inserting the disc again.

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    After that, go to "My games and apps" > Installed games > Highlight the game > Press the Menu button > Go to "manage games and add-ons" > Click the game icon.

    Make sure that these packs are installed:

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 1

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 2

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 3

    Modern Warfare 2019 won't work on Xbox Series S

    Hello.

    I own a physical copy of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. I bought it in early 2020 and have been playing it on Xbox One.

    It's as if the Xbox doesn't recognize I have the license for the game or something. In the store I can find the Modern Warfare digital copy for full price.

    I can also find Warzone for free and it says "Includes Modern Warfare". Except it doesn't work.
    Hi,

    If you own a physical (disc) copy of Call of duty, then it's the license for the disc version that you own. Since the Series S has no Blu-ray drive, any disc games you have installed will not work as they require the disc to prove ownership.

    I'm afraid as the Series S has no optical drive, you will have to re-buy Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 as a digital purchase. This also applies to all other games you own on disc.

    If this is not cost effective to you, then your only option is to buy a Series X, which does contain a Blu-ray drive.

    Why is it whenever I put my Modern Warfare 2 Cross Gen disc into my Xbox it doesn’t even start to install or even show up in the Queue? (I just bought the game.)
