    Call of Duty Modern Warfare Restart Loop?


    Sometimes after playing a few other games and I go to load up Modern Warfare it will load for a bit then do a restart loop. It doesn't occur after saying Update requires restart either.

    I will load up like normal on the first screen showing the soldier, then it will dim and restart the game. If I exit the game and go to a different game it will load back up modern warfare again even though I exited. If I go to restart the console if I don't
    do it fast enough it will close that menu and start up the game again. An infinite lasting loop. I have already tried reinstalling the game and factory resetting the console. It mostly occurs after playing another game. Could it be in their files?

    Solved this for myself.

    This started happening to me last night, out of the blue. Hadn’t installed an update or anything just prior (and pretty sure my son had played earier in the day as well).

    As OP indicated, game would simply be stuck looping the opening initial screen (soldier with the face protection or whatever). If I quit the game, it STILL kept trying to open up. Had to reboot the XBOX to do anything else.

    What fixed it for me was I went into manage the game and realized most of the game was installed on my internal hard drive, but this week’s Multiplayer Pack 3 installed to my newly attached external harddrive. I moved that MP3 install to the internal drive
    and the startup loop went away.

    Maybe this will work for others. Maybe there’s something corrupt on my external (although other games are running fine on it).

    Frustrating and strange bug.

    It was formatted and wiped, now has about 1.5 TB after redownloading MW and some other games

    it is very likely that the hard drive is not working well as it may be saturated with a new game and I have tried to boot the one that was already in use.
